How to Register for LSU Summer School Courses

Summer is the perfect time to turn free time into degree credits.
Whether you choose in-person or online summer classes, a study abroad program, summer internship, or research program for credit, registering for a summer course for credit takes just a few simple steps. Find a class you would like to take by exploring the LSU Course Offerings in the Academics Hub on Workday. You can also click here to view a listing of summer 2025 courses.
Step 1: Log in to Workday. From the Workday home page, use the Search Bar to search the Find Course Sections – LSUAM report
Step 2: Click the Find Course Sections – LSUAM report to initiate the report
Step 3: Enter the start date (MM/DD/YYYY) for the academic period you are interested in
Step 4: Click OK to run the Find Course Sections - LSUAM report
Step 5: Once the results populate, utilize the filter options on the left-hand side of the page to narrow down your academic period, academic level and subject area.
Step 6: To ensure that you are taking the right course that will fulfill requirements for your degree program, check with your academic advisor beforehand. Use the Navigate Student platform on the web or through the mobile app to schedule.
Step 7: After you have registered through Workday you will receive a fee bill. To keep the courses you scheduled, you must pay your tuition and fees by the published date on the fee bill. To view your fee bill, access the Workday home page, navigate to Your Top Apps and click the Financials Hub icon. In the navigation menu under Financials, click View Account Activity.

Summer school session dates:
First Summer (Session B) - May 27, 2025 through June 30, 2025
Second Summer (Session C) - July 7, 2025 through August 11, 2025
Summer Long Session - May 27, 2025 through August 11, 2025
