CAS Faculty Resources
The Center for Academic Success offers free resources to help you increase your academic performance. Content-specific support includes tutoring and Supplemental Instruction. Learning strategies support includes workshops and sessions with college learning experts to help with study skills, time management, & test performance. The Academic Intervention Team (AIT) is part of the LSU Cares network. When students are referred to AIT with issues impeding academic progress, this team intervenes on the student’s behalf based on the student’s unique needs.
Benefits of SI for Your Course
Research shows students who regularly attend SI typically:
- Perform better in the course
- Earn 0.5 letter grade higher in the course when attending 6 or more sessions
- Develop a deeper understanding of course content
- Improve study skills
- Build confidence
